About Hungary
Hungary is a country found in Central Europe, and is a very geographically diverse country with lots to offer tourists, whether this is charming, historic cities and towns, lakes and rivers or meeting the friendly locals. Budapest is the beautiful capital, split into two halves by the river running through the city: Buda and Pest.
The continental climate means it is pleasant to visit at any time of year, with the mild temperatures of spring and autumn being some of the finest times to see the country. The medieval castles, leafy parks, baroque architecture and panoramic views of the mountains make Hungary an excellent tourist destination for people who enjoy all sorts of pursuits.
Sun worshippers should head to Hungary’s sunniest city, Szeged, to soak up the sunshine in the pretty parks and to sit outside a cafe with a coffee or a chilled beer.
