About Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is an exotic holiday location packed with delicious local food, ideal beach spots and a host of tropical wildlife that will amaze all. Plus Puerto Rico is responsible for supplying over 70% of the Rum sold in the U.S.A. Traverse the huge variety of stunning beaches of Puerto Rico, ranging from idyllic relaxation beaches to surfing beaches to party heavy resort front beaches. Whatever your beach of choice, there is a stretch of land for everyone, with over 270 miles of coast line to the entire country.
Or if the sand and the sun aren’t your thing, you can head inland under shelter, to hike and explore the El Yunque National Forest. Contained within its own ecosystem, you will experience cloudy, damp rainstorms within the Forest, as well as the opportunity to spot a variety of different flora and fauna, including the unofficial mascot of Puerto Rico; the tiny coquí. It is only an inch long and chirrups in a high pitched voice, so chances are you’ll be able to hear it, but getting the chance to see it is another matter.
Whatever your reason for coming to Puerto Rico, don’t forget to relax and enjoy the food! Visit one of Puerto Rico’s Lechoneras where they serve a traditional pork dish of slow roasted pig.
