How old do I need to be to rent a car in Canada?


You will need to be at least 21 years old and to have held your licence for at least a year.


What documents will be required?


You will need a full driving licence or an international driving permit if your licence is not in English or French, a credit card and your passport to secure your booking.


What kind of car will I be driving?


Most Canadian hire cars are automatics although there are usually a small number of manual drive cars available. Since these are less common in Canada it is advisable to book well in advance.
