About Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country situated in Eastern Europe on the Balkan peninsula. It borders Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. The climate is temperate throughout the country, with particularly mild weather along the small stretch of Adriatic coastline, and the country is home to a wide variety of city characters, from the cosmopolitan capital Sarajevo to the fine Ottoman architecture of Zenica.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is the perfect location for those who enjoy getting in touch with nature, as there are several large rivers which provide excellent kayaking and rafting opportunities, and there are also lots of places to go fly fishing. Food is traditional and heavily meat and fish based, though be aware that it isn’t always easy to find genuine Bosnian food, with many of the restaurants in the country influenced by the surrounding areas in Eastern Europe.
