About Cyprus
Cyprus is an island country off the south coast of Turkey and the west coast of the Middle East. It is very popular with Western tourists seeking sunshine, gorgeous beaches and culture, and enjoys year-round good weather. Ayia Napa is one of the major European party towns, and is home to a host of nightclubs and bars known for their raucous nightlife, with parts of Paphos offering a similar experience.
The beaches are renowned for being clean and attractive, with Fig Tree Bay in Protaras offering a particularly pleasant experience to sunbathers. The capital, Nicosia, is awash with history dating back to the Roman Empire, along with some attractive Turkish architecture.
